has been located in Historic Ellicott City since 1996. Her store is currently
located just up the street from the B&O Railroad Station Museum with
plenty of parking available nearby. The store is convenient to Baltimore,
Frederick and other parts of Maryland.
Spring 2017 Update: We are hoping
to be open in a new location just down the street from our original
location by July of 2017
To ALL my loving family, friends and so many wonderful customers....
Over 20 years of being in business in our charming little town of
Historic Ellicott City, I have more tears than words to express
my deepest appreciation for all the outpouring of your love, hugs
and sincere expressions of caring to me over this shocking event.
I so looked forward to coming to my store everyday. It was never
work to me because I loved being in my store so much. It was actually
provided all the things I love to do. Be surrounded by beautiful
treasures of inventory and sharing their stories with all of you.
Even just the casual visits from everyone, other business owners,
regular customers who became my friends. All this will be a huge
void in my life. I don't live in the area, so I know I will be missing
all of you so much. And for Gary Weltner, who was the biggest asset
to my store with his amazing knowledge and eye and talent for design,
my heart aches for him. We worked so unbelievably well together
and enjoyed a lot of laughs, which just made our lives so happy.
I don't know now what the future has in store for Joan Eve, but
at 73 years old, I do believe there is still energy enough and desire
to bring it on again!
Love You All and to my super great Landlords.
UPDATE: I wasn't planning on doing anything like this....but
this kind lady went ahead and set up this "go fund me"
page. I know there have been so many calls, texts, emails etc. to
me from people wanting to help to get me back in business that this
is generosity I should accept with a humble BIG THANK YOU!
Eve Recovery Fund
Joan Eve has been apart of Old Ellicott City for over 20 years.
Her shop was an adorable collection of antique pieces, handpicked
by Joan herself. For Joan, her shop was her life and she poured
her soul into it. You could tell by everything she did that she
loved what she did. She loved seeing the people, she loved helping
people, and she loved the comminuty of Old Ellicott City. On July
30th 2016, Ellicott City had a masive flood that destroyed Main
Street. Entire stores, years worth of hard work, love and labor
were washed away in a matter of minutes, including Joan Eve. Please
help contribute to this fund so Joan can recreate her wonderful
